Amy Dobson
Amy Dobson is an associate at Sadis & Goldberg
LLP in the firm's Corporate and Financial Services
Group. Ms. Dobson advises numerous hedge funds and
private equity funds in connection with structuring,
formation, capital raising and regulatory compliance.
She regularly drafts the private placement memoranda and
operative documents for hedge funds and private equity
funds organized in the United States and in offshore
jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Sadis & Goldberg LLP, Ms. Dobson
was an associate in the Investment Management and ERISA
departments at a large New York City based law firm
where she specialized in venture capital and private
equity. In this capacity, Ms. Dobson routinely
represented several major institutional investors,
including pension plans and foundations, in negotiating
their investments in venture capital funds, real estate
funds and hedge funds. She also advised numerous
sponsors of private investment funds from the formation
stage through the offering period and in the negotiation
of portfolio investments.
Ms. Dobson received her J.D. magna cum laude from the
University at Buffalo Law School in 2000, where she was
the Managing Editor of the Buffalo Law Review and was
the recipient of the Joseph Peperone Memorial Award and
Scholarship in recognition of academic excellence. She
graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science
degree from SUNY College at Buffalo.
